*Genesis es un grupo de rock progresivo británico creado en 1967. Con aproximadamente 150 millones de álbumes vendidos en todo el mundo, Genesis se encuentra entre los 30 grupos más vendedores de todos los tiempos. Es un grupo que en el Rock Progresivo son una leyenda e influencia para muchas bandas de éste género, y de otros con parentesco al mismo, Genesis en sus comienzos marcaron una nueva era de conciertos, ya que ellos en los conciertos usaban mucho teatro, era como ver actores de cine en el escenario al escuchar melodías de rock Progresivo extraordinario, Peter Gabriel cantaba y actuaba, además los integrantes hacían una escenografía vistiéndose de lo que las canciones hablaban, es muy interesante, ya que en un álbum Gabriel relata la historia de un joven de nombre “Rael”, en busca de su hermano en otro mundo con mucha fantasía, en pocas palabras es de los mejores grupos de todos los tiempos del Rock Progresivo. La banda tuvo muchos cambios de formación. Todos los integrantes que tuvo Gensis y tiene han sido virtuosos y tocan más de un instrumento.

*La banda había quedado como un trío, en 1991 lanzaron su último disco de estudio, con esa formación, Phill Collins se separa de la banda en ese año, y la banda sufre problemas por falta de miembros hasta 1996, cuando consiguen como vocal a Ray Wilson, con el que solo sacan un disco.
