*Saxon es una banda de Heavy Metal británica formada en 1976 en Barnsley, Yorkshire, son considerados los líderes de la NWOBHM, el gran estilo de ésta banda es magnífico, además sabes que si escuchas a Saxon, estás escuchando Rock de lo más puro que hay, la mayor popularidad la lograron en los 80’s, sobre todo con el disco “Strong Arm Of The Law”, es uno de las bandas más grandes que han existido, modernizaron más al Heavy, fueron conocidos mundialmene gracias a la gira que realizaron junto a “Motörhead”, al cambiar de disquera también repercutió mucho en su estilo musical, ya que cambiaron a ser comerciales, pero en la actualidad volvieron a sus primeros tiempos recuperando a sus fans de toda la vida.

*Saxon es el primer disco de la banda, en el cual no se les hace mucha popularidad, aunque el disco es muy bueno y demuestra más un Hard Rock que el Heavy Metal que continuaron haciendo a partir de la época de los 80’s, es muy bueno, pero por ser de las épocas en que Iron Maiden debutó, éste disco no tuvo tanto éxito.

*Wheels Of Steel, es el álbum en el que Saxon comenzó a darse a conocer como la gran banda que es, aunque el éxito comercial no sería el mismo que al de “Iron Maiden”, pero Saxon si estaba esa altura, por algo son considerados líderes virtuales de la NWOBHM, éste álbum estuvo posicionado en el puesto 5 en Inglaterra, por el asombroso tema “Motorcycle Man”.

*Denim And Leather es el disco más exitoso de Saxon, es considerado un disco de apertura del Heavy Metal de los 80’s, sobre todo por la canción con el mismo nombre del disco, que fue considerada un himno del Heavy Metal en general, todos los grandes éxitos que dio éste disco son impresionantes, temas como “Princess Of The Night”, “And The Bands Played On”, “747 (Strangers In The Night”, pues todas, es un disco muy respetado en el Heavy Metal por todos sus componentes.
