*Van Halen es una banda de Rock formada en 1972 en los Estados Unidos de América por los hermanos Halen provenientes de Holanda, aunque ambos Eddie y Alex comenzaron tocando el piano, pero poco a poco Eddie tomó la atención de la guitarra, y Alex el de la batería, y es cuando Eddie se hace un virtuoso y rapidísimo guitarrista, así es como forman la banda, Eddie se hizo famosos rápidamente por el gran talento que tenía para tocar la guitarra, sus riffs son los más rápidos, al igual sus solos son muy veloces, David Lee Roth era un cantante muy joven, el tenía equipo de sonido lo cual Eddie y Alex aprovecharon tomando a Roth como cantante, y descubrieron que era un excelente cantante, en este mismo año 1974 Micahel Anthony es invitado a la agrupación, David Lee Roth sugiere que el nombre dela banda fuera el apellido de los hermanos Van Halen, la banda hace un disco el cual no había disquera que los apoyara, por lo que Gene Simmons integrante de “KISS” va a ver un show de la banda y decide rápidamente grabar un demo aun sin que su disquera lo aprobara, Van Halen también modernizó el mundo del Rock, sobre todo con el tema instrumental “Eruption” que aportó una gran técnica en la escena del Rock & Roll para solos de guitarra, llamada “Tapping”, la banda se hizo desafortunadamente “Pop” poco a poco, puesto que tenían influencias de algunos grupo de “Pop” de la época.

*Tanto éxito comercial en 1984, y toda lo que habían logrado hace que la banda se quedar estancada, por lo que David Lee Roth abandona la banda, Van Halen es la banda que más influyó al Heavy Metal de los 80’s, Van Halen se encontraba sin vocalista y batallaba en encontrarlo, hubo muchas opiniones, entonces un día Eddie fue al taller, y le mencionó al dueño del taller que estaba buscando un vocalista, por lo que el dueño mencionó a Sammy Hagar, entonces Eddie contacta a Hagar para hacer unas demostraciones, en el estudio Eddie toca una canción recién hecha y Sammy Hagar canta inventando la letra canción que se convertiría en el sencillo “Summer Nights”, rápidamente deciden contratarlo.

*Van Halen III (1998)

*Después de unas discusiones Gary Cherone abandona Van Halen, y la banda se queda sin vocalista, después de 6 años de silencio Van Halen vuelve al escenario con la reunión de Sammay Hagar en 2004.
