*Iron Maiden es una banda de Heavy Metal con tintes de Hard Rock formada en Inglaterra por el líder y único miembro original de la banda Steve Harris, la banda ha realizado varios álbumes de todo tipo a lo largo de su trayectoria como músicos, la banda tuvo muchas formaciones en los 70’s, es hasta principios de los 80’s cuando la banda comienza a tener un balanceo en cuanto a sus integrantes, Iron Maiden fue la banda de Heavy Metal más exitosa de inicios de los 80’s desde que salió la canción titulada “Sanctuary” como un sencillo en un LP para las nuevas bandas de esa época junto con “Praying Mantis”, “Sledge Hammer” se presentó la canción de Maiden, en 1974 la banda era llamada “Gypsy’s Kiss”, pero el éxito no era bueno, hasta que se les ocurrió un nombre potente y a la vez sangriento Iron Maiden, no solo identificaba el sonido de la banda sino las letras de contenido tenebroso que tiene Maiden, realizaron un disco sencillo titulado “Soundhouse Tapes” solo con tres canciones, y después en 1980 lanzan su primer álbum a la venta titulado “Iron Maiden”, obtuvieron un gran éxito, pero la banda no se sentía conforme, y lanzaron en 1981 Killers el mejor disco de Maiden, pero ocurrieron muchas cosas para algunos buenas y para ptro malas, la banda ha vendido aproximadamente 100 millones de copias alrededor del mundo, y es considerada una de las más exitosas bandas y de las mejores de Heavy Metal, junto con Judas Priest y Saxon le dan forma a un Heavy Metal triunfador como el que podemos escuchar ahora, Iron Maiden, también es muy famoso por su mascota que aparece desde su primer álbum oficial de estudio, la mascota es llamada “Eddie” hay varias historias sobre el, pero algunas son inventadas, no sabes cuál es la verdadera, el punto es que Maiden logró cosas que otras bandas no han logrado y un ejemplo es hacer fans a morir de ellos, los conciertos de Maiden son espectaculares siempre se llena, eso es seguro y Maiden da como respuesta un buen y excelente Heavy.

*En 1981, por los problemas de alcohol y drogas el legendario cantante de Iron Maiden Paul Di’Anno es despedido por dichos problemas, para mi Maiden fue mucho mejor con Di’Anno, la potente voz de Paul con los excelentes sonidos que Harris, Murray, Smith y Burr hacían, formaban un gran banda, pero la desgracia llegó para mí, ya que es despedido, y entra en el vocal el cantante en esa época de “Samson” Bruce Dickinson con su voz chillosa y su técnica musical muy buena pero imposible superar la magnífica voz de Di’Anno.
